The Saddest Landscape is a screamo/hardcore band from New York/New Jersey area. They have been extremely influential on the modern screamo scene and particularly the screamo revival. I am excited that they’ve decided to reform and release some amazing music. Already, a split with Pianos Become The Teeth, Trophy Scars, and If Footmen Tire You, What Will Horses Do? Their newest full length (yet to be released), You Will Not Survive, is easily my favorite record released this year and some of the most intense music they’ve created. The vocals and guitar riffs are emotional as always, the lyrics are heart shattering, and the addition of a new drummer has proven very fruitful. One of the best bands around currently, imo. Latest output of Resurrectionists and the last songs from Arse Moreira pressed on a wonderful 6inch vinyl. Resurrectionists start on side a with a slow beginning intro. After around two minutes you ll hear, what you ve expected. Fast, dark and downtuned hardcore/grind/whatever. Well written melody(!) lines, extreme fast drums and this lovely mix of bright and dark vocals. You ll have no break to take a breath. One of their best songs so far. Arse Moreira will contribute two songs to this split. This songs were formally planed to be used for a split with Louise Cyphre. Both songs are really good. Technical and fast played. Wow!. Sometimes they sound like older louise stuff on this songs. Too bad, that this band calls is quit some time ago.

Once again Resurrectionists built a solid bridge between the banks of emoviolence and grindcore. If you allready got their LP you might have idea what you can expect. Battle Of Wolf 359 play brilliant screamo with female and male vocals. Heavy guitarriffs and harsh played drums lay into slow parts to break out in chaos again in the next moment. Very well done songwriting that will catch your ears if you are into music of this kind.
